Wellness is defined as the process of being aware of and actively working toward better health. GHC-SCW believes that worksite wellness initiatives have the power to help change lives and transform organizations. The GHC-SCW Quality Management Staff includes nurses, health educators, dietitians and more. We would like to support your efforts to create a healthier workplace. Please note that all services are available to GHC-SCW-insured employees as a benefit of membership.
What is an HRA?

A Health Risk Assessment (HRA) is a health profiling tool commonly used in the workplace. HRAs help employees gain awareness of their healthy habits and identify any risk factors for disease they may have. It uses health behavior data that the employee provides along with clinical measurements (blood sugar, blood pressure, cholesterol, and waist girth) to produce an overall wellness score.
The employee receives his or her clinical results with an on-site nurse the day of the screenings. The complete HRA report is mailed to the employee’s home usually within one week of the on-site visit. The screening data for most* members is also entered into their electronic medical record for their primary care practitioner to review and follow up as appropriate.
Following completion of the on-site individual HRAs, the GHC-SCW Quality Management Department will mail an aggregate HRA report (minimum of 20 participants needed) to the Human Resources Department. No personal identifiers will be on this report. The report is meant to give the employer an idea of the prevalent health risks within the organization. The Worksite Wellness Staff will then work with the employer to customize future wellness programs to fit the specific needs of the organization.
