Robert Victor’s practice is in Traditional Chinese Medicine. He focuses on its two main branches: acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. He uses acupuncture to treat a broad spectrum of physical and psychological conditions, these include: migraine headaches, back, neck, and joint pain as well as internal organ imbalances such as stomach, menstrual and menopausal issues. Robert’s motivation is to relieve suffering, specifically pain and its underlying conditions. The common response to an acupuncture treatment is that of deep almost trance like relaxation. Many pain conditions improve or resolve completely during a course of acupuncture treatments.
Robert began his full time study of Chinese medicine in 1986 at The Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences in Oakland, California. He completed his Masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine in four years. In 1990 he passed examinations for The National and The State of California Boards. After three years of clinical practice in Berkeley he moved back to his home town, Madison, and has been in practice ever since.
Robert tries to maintain a good diet and keeps active with
swimming and outdoor sports. He also keeps the vitality of
spiritual activity alive with book and study groups, and
meditations regarding the deeper questions of life.
