Nancy Selfridge’s interest in complementary medicine and alternative therapies developed as she observed some of the limitations of conventional medicine in her course of practicing family medicine for 25 years.

Nancy has a special interest in guiding patients through a healing process for fibromyalgia and other difficult pain disorders after suffering herself for 20 years and fully recovering. Much of her holistic advice for wellness and treatment involves examining diet and exercise habits, emotions, stressors, work, relationships, goals and beliefs.

For many patients, visits with Nancy are the first time they have heard from a physician that they can feel better or possibly experience total healing. They are excited to learn that they have control over many of the aspects of their lives that impact health and symptoms.

In 2003, Nancy became certified by the American Board of Holistic Medicine. She is interested in holistic models of healing and is constantly studying to deepen her understanding of the way the body, mind and spirit work together for positive intention and evolution in each individual.

Nancy meditates daily, journals regularly and practices a healthy diet and exercise routine. She enjoys connecting with family and friends through humor, the arts, travel and community services. She also enjoys cooking and entertaining.
