Alisha Vogel

Massage Therapist

Alisha Vogel practices Swedish and Tui Na-Chinese massage. This type of massage is well suited for the treatment of specific muscoskeletal disorders and chronic stress-related disorders. She believes that massage can be a crucial element in health and well being, not only in the physical sense but also on an energetic level.

Chinese Medical Massage (Tui Na) has been used in China for 2,000 years. It involves the use of hand techniques to massage the soft tissue (muscles and tendons) of the body and acupressure techniques to directly affect the flow of energy through meridian pathways. Patients who experience this technique are generally happy and relaxed. Alisha has taken a particular interest in neck massage but each client presents a new and intriquing possibility. She combines both eastern and western theories into her practice. The western side can be very smooth and calming while the eastern side is stronger and more aggresive.
