Since opening our doors on March 1, 1976, we have kept our promise of providing quality care and innovative services to our members. Below are just some of the important milestones from our 30-year history.

GHC-SCW becomes incorporated. |

GHC-SCW begins providing health care services to members. |
| June 1977 |
GHC-SCW becomes a federally qualified HMO. |
| February 1980 |
GHC-SCW expands from its Park Regent Clinic with the construction of the Pines Center Clinic in Middleton. |
| September 1995 |
GHC-SCW becomes Wisconsin's first HMO to receive full accreditation from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). |
| October 1998 |
GHC-SCW is named the #1 HMO in the Nation by US News and World report . |
| May 2002 |
GHC-SCW becomes the first HMO in the area to implement Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system. |
| August 2003 |
GHC-SCW becomes the first HMO in the area to provide members with 24-hour online access to their medical information through GHCMyChart(SM). |
| September 2004 |
GHC-SCW is recognized by NCQA among the Top 10 Health Plans in the Nation and Top 5 Health Plans in the East North Central Region. |
| January 2005 |
GHC-SCW opens the first Complementary Medicine and Wellness Center and is the first HMO in the area to include these services as part of its benefit plans. |
