Dr. Keyena McKenzie incorporates into her work with pediatric and adult patients, principles of homeopathy, botanical medicine, nutritional medicine, hydrotherapy, naturopathic manipulative therapeutics and holistic lifestyle counseling.
The therapies Dr. McKenzie utilizes aim to not only alleviate symptoms and suffering brought about by disease, but also to address the causes of imbalance, and remove the obstacles to cure whenever possible. In many cases, naturopathic medicine is used on its own or in conjunction with conventional medical approaches. Individuals of all ages have benefited from naturopathic therapies and include those with many acute and chronic health conditions, bacterial and viral infections, digestive disorders, skin disorders, hormonal imbalances, menstraul irregularities, fatique, pain, allegeries, insomnia, ADD and other behavioral and mood disorders.
Dr. McKenzie has served patients in general practices, urban and international clinics, and hospitals. She received her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine, certification in Naturopathic Obstetrics (Midwifery) and extensive homeopathic training from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon.
Dr. McKenzie is an avid gardener and budding orchardist, photographer, silent sports enthusiast and a parent. She writes and lectures on a variety of health and family-related topics.
